Don’t tell me something voodoo’s about to happen just ’cause I started this post right on the 10.10.10, 10:10:10.

The Leak Report gives you nosy fans a run down of tracks/demos that have leaked during the week. Hit or miss? Let the snap rating system be your guide.

Leona Lewis – I Know Who I Am

Leona Lewis I Know Who I Am by QueenBee73

This sounds like something Mimi Manatee would submit for the Precious soundtrack. It’s a pleasant effort from Leona – completely complements her sweet-as-Bambi image – but just horribly dated. I’m a tad apprehensive about the direction she’s going with her third studio album. I know it didn’t live up to her record-breaking debut but I appreciated the colour and personality Leona Lewis injected into her Echo project. The last thing we need here is pipe organs and a Southern baptist choir.

Lightbulb snap.

Take That – The Flood

The Flood – Take That by Take That España

This reunion single essentially shut down the pop music blogosphere for a good day or two when it surfaced this week. The man band (now complete with Robbie Williams) employs mega producer Stuart Price for a colossal pop ballad fit for their image and current demographic. The magnificently tidal chorus is absolutely to die for.

Mighty snap.

N.E.R.D. – Hypnotize You

N.E.R.D – Hypnotize You by Organic B’z

The beauty about N.E.R.D./Pharrell‘s productions is that their most straightforward percussive beats are often the most addictive. Definitely one for the contemporary R&B lounges with the chic leather couches.

Bounce snap.

McFly – Shine A Light (feat. Taio Cruz)

McFly feat. Taio Cruz – Shine A Light by muzicjunkie

Sexy pop rockers McFly teams up with man-of-the-moment Taio Cruz for a synth-soaked mid tempo that’s neither a corker nor a snoozer. I’m sorry but the jury’s out on this one unless the lads are prepared to strip down to their designer man trunks for us right this minute. You know that’s the only way British boy bands can hold my attention these days.

Lightbulb snap.

Girlicious – Television

Personal TV by kristinasuxx

It’s yet another pop ode to an electronic device. Let me check my goods: ‘Telephone’, ‘Radio’, ‘Video Phone’ and now, ‘Television’. Damn, I know by the time I breakout the only appliance left for me to sing about would be the blender.

Nonchalant snap.

Snap legend:
Mighty snap = this is a hit.
Bounce snap = instantly likeable.
Lightbulb snap = you will need a moment to get into this.
Nonchalant snap = need I say more?
No snap = please cease and decease.
